39k I don't have a weight ticket but that's what the scale said! If I stayed out of od and kept my speed at 55 I did good. 4.6mpg Houston Tx to Lander Wyoming.

My truck is bone stock with a innovative diesel torque 2 pressure box. I'm really starting to think now I'm not gonna do anything else. I love this stock reliability thing lol

I know a guy who was hauling a load waaaaay to big for his cummins 3500 and it pushed him thru a light and into a semi. Not too smart to play around like that

Was it full of something? That container is actually not that heavy. They weight around 6k we got a bunch of them at work.

I thought DOT went off the axle, hitch and licensed ratings not the suggested rating the factory puts on the truck. If you go off of the GVWR rating you can't pull much of anything.

Is not a suggested rating, it is the rating that the truck can operate at safely

DOT goes off of GVWR, GCWR, and GAWR. Whichever is lowest. GCWR are not usually listed on the door sticker so they are not used as frequently as the others.

Federal Motor Carrier regulations state:
Gross combination weight rating (GCWR) means the value specified by the manufacturer as the loaded weight of a combination (articulated) motor vehicle. In the absence of a value specified by the manufacturer, GCWR will be determined by adding the GVWR of the power unit and the total weight of the towed unit and any load thereon.

Unfortunately, Ford very specifically states a GCWR value for all their trucks. That old hillbilly **** my fly elsewhere, but in MD they can and will nail your ass to the wall for it.

Wow, what lift is that? Looks like it's sitting pretty good for that much weight.

What is the GCWR for the 6.7's?

I know that's what it's supposed to go off to be legal, but here I can register my truck for whatever weight I want regardless of what the actual GCWR is. I'm sure that's not how it's supposed to work, lol, but that's what they do at the dmv. And the DOT here goes off of whatever is on the registration. Never had an issue, even at a little over 30k.
