The grille needs just a little more "shiny" somewhere to balance the chrome lip on the rims. And i think, imho, the rear wheels should have a bigger lip than the front, staggered. Just purely from an aesthetic stand point.

On the grille, for instance, if where it has the riveted look if instead of rivets it was just a chrome ring around that part picturing it in my head that be a good accent to the lip on the rims

I like the chopped top though.

I see what you are saying. That is not 100% what the rims will be. The rims are whatever I can find used for a decent price, I don't exactly have 16 bills to throw down on wheels and tires.

I gotcha. Just from the rendering what I myself would change. Gonna be cool however way you slice it

I think your build will be sick, here are a couple of my old projects. Are you going to do a fleetside or stepside bed?
IMO I would'nt do a chop top, they remind me of bad 1980's customs, but what do I know. Good luck

Also, I am changing my plan once again. This will save me money and I think it will match my look better.

20x8 dodge ram spares... I would run a whitewall tire though

Manage to find any yet?
Sent from my SGH-T889 using Xparent Green Tapatalk 2
I have 3 located nearby, all in different places. Hopefully I will be able to collect this weekend.

damn...4 months of posts and nothing but another rendering? lol
Renderings don't cost money and can be done indoors.

Time, Money, Weather, Parts, and Tool availability have been scarce. I work on it when I can. It will get done, but currently there are a lot more important things in life that have been going on.

Just some updates...
Ended up going with 17x8 interceptor wheels for a few reasons
1) They were free
2) They were available
3) Tire options
4) They were free

The downside is that they are a 5on4.5 spacing rather than 5on5.5

My solution is to sell my 8.8 rear and get an 8.8 rear from an interceptor, which has the following benefits:
1) Disc brakes
2) Four link suspension
3) Coil buckets to attach the bags to

The front end I have is a metric spacing, and will have to be modded either way.

I was having a hard time finding four of them within 150 miles of me, also they were wanting 175ea for them.

I got these 17s for free...

Updates:
after doing some thinking and number crunching, I have decided that at this rate I will not have this even close to done by the time I move, So I decided to purchase an entire p71 and set my body on the p71 chassis, keeping the 4.6 mill and the AOD, removing the coils and putting air bags in.

Picking up this today.....

Tomorrow if the weather holds out I plan on getting the body off of the p71 and mock up the truck body.

well I am having second thoughts about the 4.6..... It looks like the wiring is not going to be as straight forward as I had hoped, so here are my options:

Keep in mind,
Pros of the 4.6: I have it, its mounted in my frame and the driveline is complete
Pros of the IDI: simple to get running, its a diesel.

1) Spend a lot of time with wiring diagrams, pray it runs right, have the rest of my hair turn grey.
2) Buy a stand alone harness and reprogram my ecu ~$1000, eat spaghetti-Os for the immediate future.
3) Buy another truck, $1000 IDI, use that motor, sell rest of truck, have angry girlfriend.

What is your guys' input on this?

It's better to eat spaghetti O's with an angry girlfriend than by yourself. I would go find an IDI. Have you though about checking like pick-a-part for one?

I am also pretty confident that the best option is to go with the IDI for the simplicity and reliability... I even have the boss convinced that that is the right way to go.
