Hmm well I had to go down the street for a little bit today and it did the same exact thing today, I took after and then it started doing it so I was able to whip into a parking spot again and then it do the same thing as last time and then started running fine and I went to where I was going and left it running and made it back fine. But Im going to plug it in tonight so that when I'm able to have another person come out and keep it running it won't be as hard on it cold. Just thought I'd let you guys know what's going on

Not likely. That would just cause the high pressure oil to bleed off and you would have no power, and possibly a no start condition. You have multiple cylinders missing with codes so I would be looking at electrical if I where you. Just get it back on the scanner and do a buzz test.

Okay, I was just curious cause he had a super duty that had a bad o ring and it threw a code too. But I'll try and get access to the scanner again tonight. I got lucky last night since my roommate was in class and wasn't doing anything. Hopefully I'll be able to hook it up and do the buzz test

I'm talking to my roommate in class and he said the scanner doesn't have the koeo injector buzz test, would it be under any other names?

Well that's where I'm at! Sad to say haha I just started here two weeks ago. But to use their scanners you have to have electronics classes. But my roommate pulled a couple strings and was able to get a modus or modis, but I was looking for a buzz test or koeo or IDM and couldn't find anything? I searched for about 10 minutes

The closest to that is just a regular resistance test for the injector, and you had to pull the valve covers and all the wiring and I only had 15 minutes to do it

The modus will do an injector buzz. I have used one for that before, just cant remember how to guide you to it.

It's under component tests and then there's an injector test, but the modus tells you to unplug the injectors and use a jumper wire going from one thing to another, they had a live graph of the injectors firing

I looked and couldn't find anything called self tests... But these scanners are so high tech now I could have missed it. Do you know if they go to the previous vehicle it was hooked up to? Cause when I hooked it up it had said it was a 06 ford injected truck not my 95. I don't know much about these scanners

When you hooked up the scanner you should have selected the vehicle type right off. You may well have had the wrong vehicle selected from the start.

any chance that your truck is actually a 1994.5? with the eec IV software? if so it would have an eecIV diagnostic connector under the hood and would need to be updated to 97 specs.
you might even try telling the scan tool that it is a 97 model to do testing

Take 30 mins & pull your valve covers off, you will prob find a melted harness. Sitting here with scanner X Y or Z isn't going to tell you that something didn't decide to get crispy but still manages to maintain a connection time to time.

If you have idm codes stored, it will tell you what bank the problem is on. However, that information is completley freakin irrelevant, considering both "should" be replaced at the same time anyway.

The scanner probably wasn't powered off all the way before but I had changed the vehicle setting after I noticed it and it obviously took away some tests and etc, but I put my trust in her and she made it three hours home so now I have a four day weekend to figure out my troubles. And it was manufactured in 08/94
