I have an aftermarket fuel system so I don't think it'd be throwing codes if it happened. **** who knows. I'm about to go outside and rip these valve covers off real quick

Excuse the dirty engine, but I came out and started looking and found this, both front on each side, you think one could wiggle loose?

There's one other broken and the others look fine, so I think that's the first thing to order is those connectors. Any where best to order them? Like would napa or carquest have them?

Is it like a stock injector thing, or how on earth would a loose UVC connector make the truck shut OFF???

I can turn off all but 2 cylinders and the damn thing won't die.

With the truck actually dieing, I would be looking toward fuel pressure. The sound in the video wouldn't rule out lack of fuel. Missing and knocking are common with lack of fuel. Especially super low rpm flat to the floor.

A loose connector would just give a dead hole or two (on an obs) that shook like hell, but the engine would otherwise rev out right?

Engines don't just shut off and fail to rev up with any sort of injector connections loose IME.

Now maybe with something fried and grounding out..... maybe.... but I wouldn't think that normal, although I don't play with OBS trucks, so take it for what it's worth.

I'd be checking fuel pressure. With the engine ramping ICP to the moon and MFD to keep the truck running I could see that setting some out of bounds codes.

Anyway, 0.02 worth.

The only time that I have had one whole bank drop, it sounded like that. It was due to an idm fialure so I don't know if the driveability would be different than a bad uvch, but I had to throttle it to keep it running.

I know that if I try to start my truck with one side unplugged it wont fire up without throttle, and if I unplug it while it is running it will kill it right off.

I have also had two holes on one side completely dead and it did not sound that bad. The truck would start rough but it would fire quick. It would also idle without help, albeit rough.

I can unplug 6 at idle and the truck will continue to idle... I can't remember the cylinders right now, but I think if only 2 and 7 were left on it idled nicely.

I can drive around on 4.

But if you say they will die on 4, then that settles that. And would rule UVC issues back in in my mind.

Think I found the problem...

It wouldn't even pump sometimes! I blew it out to make sure nothing was stuck in there somehow and it blew fuel out. Jake is sending me a new one, which is very nice of him! You can't beat irates customer service! But what sucks the most is that I had just finished swapping out the twin I beam for my completely rebuilt 60 :'(
