I don't think thats bad at all temp wise. You are good to go and since you don't run wie open 1/4 mile drags all the time you are fine. Out of curiousity how do you like the 4.30 and 35's combo?

Those 4.30s came from your truck lol. I put them in for towing when I had it. It towed the hills around here like a beast but highway empty running sucked so I went back to the 3.73s

Bobby, I wouldn't worry about your egts that much. Its gonna get hot when you blast it for an 1/8 mile or so. When I had the 04 it would reach 1500 by the 1/8 with stock sticks and cross the 1/4 holding 1600ish depending on the weather. It won't hurt it like that, just don't hold it that high for a few minutes where it can heat soak everything.

i knew it wouldnt hurt it for a few seconds but when i saw it getting that hot that quick in just the 1/8th mile i was worried what it would be by the time i got to the 1/4. needless to say i never really wanted to find out cuz i cant afford to fix it lol. but ill give er hell and find out what i does. i have the extreme race in now. i like the power better but the shifting sucks, i was really bitchin today about the shifts when i towed the loader home with the race tune. ill be callin eric.

If I'm correct, I believe the Extreme Street and Extreme Race are the same tune other than the shifts. The street is just a little more drivable from day to day. Thats the way it is with the Looney Wild race and Looney Wild dd.

i love the power but it seems like it shifts way to soon on the race, like wen it gets to 3rd it will go straight into 4th then 5th, but sometimes it seems like it even skips 4th and goes straight to 5th, sucks when your tryin to cruise unless you open it up... then its a lil better. definitely needs adjusted somewhere.

tried the race tune today. same results, i stayed in it a lil longer this time just to see how high it would go. it was climbin to mid 1600s and i lifted, it holds 31 lbs of boost but i know my up pipes leakin and i have a small boost leak, im gonna fix those and see how it does, could be a volume issue. i would like to see it run no hotter than 1500 or so... i dont like gettin much hotter.
It gets to a point where a little bit of everything will help...i noticed a good drop in EGT's when i put a bigger downpipe on mine, since the stock downpipe is designed to retain heat. All that said, EGT's are a none issue with Mike's tunes at KEM..try that.

IS the tranny in your truck the same as an 08?
If so, the 4rth gear thing can be fixed with a 3/5 direct clutch solenoid. I had the same issue and was talking to my Mechanic Josh Clark out of Georgia and he recommended that I put a gogo diesel 3/5 DCS and a suncoast TC and man let me tell you..night and day diff. I actually have all 5 gears now and no more sloppy shifts. The Ford guys say that the 4rth gear in my tranny when it was stock might as well not even been there...it was like you said straight from 3rd to 5 most the time.

I was pretty sure x street and x race are different with fueling too.

Garrett

Probably getting paid at work to post this from my D1

Ok, not saying it isn't. I just thought I read somewhere that the Extreme Street had the same fuel just a different shift pattern.
