Well the truck is either losing fuel, or defueling for it to drop 200°s in EGT'a at WOT. I can tell you one thing, if it's fueling like it should be, instead of the temperatures dropping, it should be pegging that gauge. I've seen a completely stock truck with just tunes peg a 2,000° EGT gauge.

where do u get 200 degrees? maybe the larger volume of air in a higher gear at higher speeds helps cool it off? my stock sticks on a hot tune only hit 1500 or so, its not loosin fuel i can tell u that, if it is its not enuff that i noticed it on the gauge

I NEVER saw my 04 go that high on just tunes. I even ran 225/100s for a little while and on a 1/4 mile run it would hit 1690 by the 1/8 and fluxuate a few degrees up and down by the end.

Maybe the tuner sucked to get it that high on stock sticks.

1,750-1,580=170

Eric's Xtreme Street. Stock everything. Even down to the exhaust.

Although not all trucks will hit high temps like that, there is absolutely no reason it should be dropping at WOT. I know Mdub07 has a similar issue and he was getting enough fuel.

Boost leak maybe? My truck wouldn't even hit 1600 on XRace with stock sticks. My 225/100s were ran with a Powermax and wouldn't touch 1700.

re-read my posts man, the 1700 temps were on the street tune, it only hit 1650 on the extreme street due to more timing im assuming, thats the tune i had the gauge on

Not sure. It was a RCLB 6.0L work truck I bought for a grand with "leaking headgaskets". The only problem it had was a busted EGR cooler, but the owner didn't know that LOL. Deleted the EGR and turned around and sold it for $5k for an easy sell. But I had some fun with it in the meantime. LOL

Okay I read that wrong. I still see no reason for it to be dropping EGT's. It should constantly be climbing. More fuel equals higher temperatures. Just doesn't make much sense to me.
