Figured I start a thread about trying to figure out problems
I put my homemade Gen3 together, and since then, truck idles fine, but when I give it some RPMs, acts like a miss, or something is wrong.

I did hook it up to a scanner, said ICP failed. So I replaced the ICP sensor, no change. Replaced pigtail for it and the IPR. The IPR pigtail was bare, also replaced it.
All the sensors share a wire that is gray with red stripe. Is that wire suppose to be grounded? Because mine is. Maybe the IPR could be stuck somehow? I don't think I have any bare wires. Haven't had a chance to put back on scanner yet.
One crazy thing is that when I unplug the oil temp sensor, it can make t run smoother. Then another time, I pulled the plug on that sensor and engine died. Weird.

I did get the chip tuned for the Gen3. Kinda did the same thing without chip also.

Got new IPR, no change. So took chip out, and took video of what it does with Scangauge. Trying to get video uploaded.

Photo bucket must not be working. WTF

When I get it up to higher RPMs, after a couple seconds, cel comes and duty cycle goes up another 4%. Let it go back to idle, the cel goes out after a few seconds. Maybe the Gen3 pump is fouling the computer and trying to figure out why there is more HPO. Haven't got truck on scanner yet.

Hooked Scangauge and got some more gauge readings. When the computer sees more than 1000-1200 psi ICP, it will default to 727 psi. Let it go back to idle for a few seconds, it will reset and will do the same again. This is with chip out.

Did you try taking the Gen 3 out of the loop yet?
Can't remember what you posted in the other thread, thought you were going to try that.
Have you hooked a mechanical gauge to the rails? Curious what sort of pressures the icp sensor is actually seeing.

When it idles fine and looking at the electric gauge that comes off the ICP sensor, I'm thinking it's ok.
But, I should get the "actual" psi.

What condition cause the pcm to default to 7xx psi? I really don't know.
I assume this issue wasn't present before the second pump?

Take the gen 3 off the truck, install the hpop portion of it, reinstall the ipr and see if the problem goes away.

Did some testing, hooked mechanical pressure gauge to oil rail, showed the same pressure as the autometer HPOP gauge. Took voltage from wire right before engine harness connector. Voltage was around 1.0 to over 4.0 volts. (Right next to air box). Not sure what to check next. Another PCM?

What was hpo pressure when the pcm defaulted? Did it continue to climb? Or did the pcm command 700ish, and get it?
What kind of rpms, and what sort of duty cycle, when you see the 4%increase?
If the chip is out, it's not likely a pcm issue. I.e. same problem with ford or aftermarket tuning.

It really didn't affect the HPO. I could still get it up to 4000psi. RPMs weren't really affected either. Didn't look at duty cycle.

I'm getting

ICP pressure above/below desired.

ICP circuit out of range low

According to this wiring diagram

The other 2 wires that are shared with the other sensors shouldn't be grounded, but one of mine is. Wonder if that is the problem. I'll have to unhook from harness connector

Went ahead and pulled the Gen3 pump, and (I guess) luckily, ran fine. No CEL of any of the problems before. Gonna take the haldex pump apart and see if anything is wrong in it but other than that, not sure what caused the problems.
