Funny that Jeff clamped his and it didn't stop. If I touch mine with something it stops.

mines the same exact way, if i even set a pry bar on the lines it goes away, going to try and clamp mine this weekend and see if it stops

I wonder if a line failure would result in time? Mines not too annoying, just don't need anything going wrong at the track.

I get the standard RP fluctuation at idle when cold. 345, deleted, stock hpfp.

I actually took some logs today as I had the high idle switch on and rpm was wandering around way less than the target speed. I'll look and see if anything else moves with RP.

You guys with the harmonic fuel lines, have you tried coating them with some sort of rubberized or plastic coating to insulate them from being able to make any harmonic tune?

Not a bad idea! You could also run an extra clamp attached to something like a free-floating random nut/bolt to help dampen the harmonics.

I have the hpfp line with harmonics too, only on my truck with the dragonfire pump tho. Both my 6.4's have ported rails, and the one with the elite pump does not have the harmonic noise. For those with the hiccup or what you think is a miss, try turning you heater/ac control off. They will hiccup when the ac pump kicks in and out. The control has to be off tho, the ac pump still cycles even if it's on vent or defrost.

I know what the AC thing sounds like, it's different than that

It is not the sound of the compressor turning on, it is the difference in the engine, when cold I get what he is saying because my truck will do it. Last time out I didnt have the vents or anything on, the truck didnt do it. Mine will only have a little hiccup ever so often, seems like it would be the same time frame it would take for the ac compressor to cycle.

We discussed that while my cab was up actually. Ricky brought up using something like Rhino Liner if the clamps didn't work.

Mine does the same thing at idle in the morning where the idle lopes and while I am on the road just crusing I get a bad harmonic noise but if I let of the gas it goes away or if I get on it, it will go away but just crusing at a constant speed the noise is there.

Yep. Mines got a little shake to it when its idling when its warm. Then it has a quick skip to it. Im not sure if its the HPFP that whines. almost like a woo woo woo woo. Jeff has something similar to it but I think his is line harmonics. Ive been meaning to get video. Ill try and get it tonight.

Are you sure it isn't your exhaust tips? LOL

Anyway, mine idles a little rough on big big tunes at high idle. It's the worst on the Spartan 300 though. Also, it only does it when its warmed up and on high idle.

I just had a miss here and there on extreme street, but with the tow yesterday I had the lope and fluctuating rail pressure, about 800psi on high idle
