How many miles on your 6.4?

Whats a *** lol. I just think maybe the stock tune on the hot setting us crappy on the mini max. Honestly its not alot of smoke but not as clean as it probably could be.

283k on my 08 f450. Or Gigi always engine blew at 90k. New engine in by Ford and bulletproofed ever since.

Bought my 08 f350 crew cab 4x4 dually with 170,000 . Now has 182,000 . 3 months ago spent 1,500 on leaking oil return hose on passenger side and leaking water pump and tensioner bearing. Drove 1000 miles and engine starts to smoke . 500 miles later on of my turbos made a loud noise and no more turbo boost and now while driving at about 2000-2500 rpm i get a loud clattering noise from engine . Cant make the noise while in park in driveway only when driving under load. I think the engine git hurt bad . I checked reviews and it looks like the 6.4 is a p.o.s. from the beginning. For a truck that's supposed to get 500,000miles im nowhere near that . . Love the truck but hate the engine . Now my beautiful truck needs a engine and the cost is unbelievable. Dont know where I'm gonna get that money now after just spending $1500 n repairs . But im not getting rid of my truck so I have to figure something out . I would suggest to anyone , stay away from the 6.4 powerstroke . Ford should be ashamed for putting out such a bad engine !!

6 months and 12,000 miles into ownership and it cracked a piston at 155k. Cruising down the highway and all of a sudden developed a miss, wasn't even slightly surprised. Time for a motor build i guess.

I dont think so. Pickup ran fantastic, I was fairly confident this one was going to make 200k, never had a bit of blow by and I didn't hardly abuse it at all. Never smoked or ran strange. Just cruising along a mile from my house and I stepped on the throttle slightly to accelerate up a hill and just started missing. Finishing thr drive home, popped the hood and sure enough its puffing at a steady rate from thr crank case and it popped the passenger side glow plug harness out. Snap On scanner said it was #2 on a contribution test. I wasn't even mad, I've been expecting it for 6 months, just a 6.4 doing 6.4 stuff. Ill tear it down here in s month or two.

317,000 miles still runs good even though it has a leaking head gasket.

The vgt controller messed up and closed the veins on a hill pulling a load.
