joe is correct! if the injectors are worn you could get a hot IDM to help the problem.

think of it this way- you have a electromagnet and you want to lift and object and it does it just fine at 110 volts, now place the object farther away an it can no longer lift it, then increase the voltage of the magnet to 140 volts then it will be able to magnatize the object at a larger gap!

now THAT I understand..

quantity, brand, and down time of injector is a deciding factor on injectors.
there are several sponsors here that remanufacture injectors.

rosewood
swamps
PIS
full force
and a few others just give em a call and any one of them would be a great choice

WTF? Do you have me blocked or something... Try and help a guy and rather then ask a question he completely dismisses the advise...

No, and I'm sorry I didn't acknowledge you post.. my apologies..
Honestly Joe, I figure if I'm going to have to do it, I think I'll do injectors PLUS a Swamps IDM..
and now that I think about it, that's not a bad plan.. put the module in first and then save a little more jingle and put in the squirts.

Good idea! Thanks!

now..
what is it about these injectors that fails?
Do the solenoids get weak? Do the internals just get so sloppy they operate inefficiently? Tips wear out?
Combination of?

Its not like I'm an attention whore or anything... LOL

All I know is I went from plugging it in if it was below 50, to not needing to plug it in below 30.

Its the poppets that wear out, which opens the armature gap and makes it hard for the solenoid to pull it up.

I cant wait to fire up my new motor with the P.I.S injectors from Tim... Be like christmas day!

let me expound on that..
an actual full throttle run on the highway is OUT right now for two reasons..
1. it's been snowing every day for five weeks
2. the slip yoke in the rear driveshaft is TRASH.

well, could put it in 4wd...

so no one questioned compression? I have almost the exact same situation except I hardly ever drive the truck so it hasn't been a problem. Also mine has 15w40 conventional oil in it and it cranks slow If was driving the truck in the winter it would have synthetic in it for sure.
