It blows my mind that someone wouldn't care if they purposefully blow out a set of good seasoned and sealed head gaskets that would have been WAY stronger with studs than a new set of fresh gaskets with studs.

Now that being said - I've had a ton of fun blowing up junk that I didn't care about - never once did it to anything I cared about - I had too much respect for it.

I think he meant 45psi... Its a stock turbo still.

Amazing! I am impressed that's not the only thing that broke...

But hey, if you like working on your truck, that's the best way to do it. Just consider it a "durability test".

I knew this could happen and yes I shoul I studded it, but I didn't. And this is what happened. So I'm going to fix it and do some mods so it won't happen again. I don't mind pulling my motor and learning some things. So all you guys saying I'm dumb.... Ok when really your just gealious because I blew both of em up. LOL

Damn man. I am still on the stock studs and stuff with larger injectors and so is my buddy. He runs his allot harder then me too. The stock bolts will have one more endurance test on the 17th on the dyno at rudys and sled pulling again :)

Im not mad at him for his actions. At least he isnt bashing ford for the problems and threatening to go to the other two subordinate brands.

Whats your plans for the motor now.

Difference here is, we hadnt gotten tuning dialed in yet. We were attempting to diagnose a defueling issue.... I hoped in the truck and wanted to know exactly what it felt like when it "defueled" or "bucked".

Needless to say, i dont think it was defueling haha.... Before it gets started again the tuning will be adjusted heavily to not let the stock turbo make over 35psi, back pressure is unreal above that and just no reason to run it that hard.

I am still on the stock turbo as well running a tad more fuel :naughty: Only seeing about 30 pounds of boost with a IC...

Its all in the tuning. My highest HP tune on my obs made less boost than some ****tier tunes running 50psi.

Curtis doesnt have an IC either... combine that with bad tuning and you extremely inefficient boost and cylinder pressures. Not to mention ridiculous back pressure which is surprising because the valve train handled it like a champ as far as we can tell.

Regarless of what I didnt have on the truck to prevent this from happening, the bad tuning ect. The truck still pulled super hard! And the power was amazing!

haha very true....

but at the same time, thats how **** breaks. You can run 30psi and have the exact same power, it just takes more effort to tune it
