But hey maybe I'll throw the s480 under the 68 VGT if all goes well With it as a single. It's got the turbine flow fo sho. Hate putting the cart in front of the horse though...so stay tuned.

The same as a Garrett stage 2 dmax 4094, which they get pretty good power from..

The first billet 68 is still being tested by Adrian (mad Powerstroke) hoping to dyno with it and 300hybrids at the Wildman dyno the 16. Will keep everyone updated. These are not dozers diesel turbos these are Mad Turbo Works turbos, we simply work with Adrian on his projects and he is also very knowledgable on 6.0 fuel and air combos. As far as I know is the first to make over 500 rwhp with stock nozzles and the stage 2 turbo .Dillon the 65 billet is the stage 2. Pm me or Madpowerstroke for more details !

I don't believe that has happened just yet. I remember seeing a 487hp posted from the dyno day at PHP with the stage 2 and stock sticks. but never seen anything posted from anyone making over 500hp just yet with stock sticks and the stage 2.

You are correct Chris for stock injectors but JJ says stock nozzles and doesn't reference injector size. I have heard (though not confirmed yet) that Bill @ PHP has put down over 500hp (I think 510hp but don't quote me on that, I have two numbers in my head and that is the more conservative of the two) on 175/stock injectors with the Stage 2, his ECM tuning, and FICM tuning. Also, I personally have heard his truck idle when I was at TS and that thing is as quiet as a common rail. I dont know what all he has done to it for oil and fuel mods but it is NICE. Again not to try and put words in JJ's mouth here but just trying to offer that he may be referencing what I have heard as well.

You're right my bad. But yet i still dont remember hearing anyone running larger bodied injectors with stock nozzles with the stage 2 durastroke turbo maing over 500hp. Maybe JJ can shed some light on that.

Thanks for the info Nate. I knew bill was gonna try out the turbo, but didn't hear about the results from it. Good to know. I'm sure the stage 2 and my 190/75's will do good huh? lol. Been thinkin about it.

Yea I only heard because Adrian called me and told me but I'll let Bill post whatever he wants to.

Yes- at one point we were debating doing an increase on the clip of the powermax turbine and running the bullet 68 in it with testing. However both Adrian and I agree that the properly matched turbine for the 68/94 will be the best overall match for power and as close to 1:1 boost/bp possible with a VGT. When you increase compressor size and not turbine, the Motor has no more room to flow on the exhaust side with increased compressor size and psi.

maybe its been my long day and I'm missing something, but are you saying that you guys are going to be using pmax parts to make MTW stage 3' s?

No. The MTW Stage 3 will be made from a GT4094VA and EITHER a stock Powerstroke turbo or a Powermax turbo. It doesn't really matter as they both share the same exact turbine housing and that is all that is used from either turbo to make the MTW Stage 3. Hope this helps.

Okay gotcha, wasn't sure if the stocker and a pmax has the same turbine housing, more that I know they do it makes sense now. Thank you for, clearing it up.

Right I know Adrian is making a hybrid Duramax/Powerstroke turbo. I was referring more to the Powermax or Powerstroke turbo with the larger turbine and larger billet compressor wheel. I just was asking about this below.


Also it is not a powermax modification- it is a brand new turbo with matched compressor/turbine sizing straight from the Garrett engineers.

It's a 4094va machined to work in a 6.0 housing. I cannot state it any more plain.

LoL I ain't mad bro, I just thought it would be cool if we could order these direct from Garrett. That's what I was saying maybe I'm misunderstanding, it just seemed like you were saying they coming direct from Garrett that way.
