Yes, the KC stage 2r will work great for you in that application. The PowerMax was originally the "go to" turbo for additional air flow and cooler EGTs while towing. With this turbo spooling quicker than a P max, you would be great to use this for a full time tow pig

Bumping this up. Can anyone share new info on how this turbo is working out? My MTW stage two has been good to me but I think it's time to retire it. I have fresh 190/75's from Warren diesel.

We are hoping for the Stage 2r's to be available mid-late May. We have some being tested right now with the new bearings. Pending those results will determine the final release date.

What’s the reliability between a thrust bearing and ball bearing set up? I’ve had both and never an issue with a thrust bearing set up.
