to intricate for me even with a write up.. i paid a professional drivetrain shop to mess with that.Speaking of which. Is there any good write ups on installing one? Never had the carrier out and would like be informed before I just go tearing stuff apart.
well, when its a professional drivetrain shop that specializes in custom axles for any sort of applications. mainly ls swp jeep builds, they know a good bit about setting up an axle.. i paid 250 i think... money well spent in my eyes. What's the labor bill on something like that? I just have trust issues with other people workin on my stuff.
shouldn't txt and driveMy two cents on lockers or even limited slip on slippery roads, they are a handful and a less than good driver may find themselves in a ditch, quickly. I would not let my wife drive an Exploder we had with limited slip without putting it in 4x4 WHENEVER it was icy, that thing could end up backwards before you read the first 3 words of a text, lol.
Ha, I wanted to see who occurred up on that.well, when its a professional drivetrain shop that specializes in custom axles for any sort of applications. mainly ls swp jeep builds, they know a good bit about setting up an axle.. i paid 250 i think... money well spent in my eyes.

rock solid performance by chance?Just from a tribological view point, ARB and many other locker manufacturers don't want you to use a synthetic lubricant. One of my customers is a high quality off road shop with many dozens of really nasty Jeep builds to their name. They actually cane to me for help with Terra Flex joint and locker issues. Which we solved. Just an FYI about the lubricant side of locking diffs.

A good local diff shop hates syn for their builds. They say the Dino oil is better.

Which is kinda retarded....every super duty has spec'd syn gear lube.
