I don't know why the correct weight synthetic would cause slippage. All the limited slip style diffs need friction modifiers in the oil, synthetic or dino

Only good reason ive heard is anything with clutches in it the syn lube is too sticky and lets the frictions slip on the steels unless you are turning and really getting into the throttle.

When I had my 03 and had trutracs put in i ran dino and fric mod in the rear only.
no clutches in a trutrac... why did you waste the friction modifier?

Idk. I had it all installed. There wasnt a psa for all the ide to converge on. I didnt install it and come to think of it I had it two years post install and im certain I never changed the fluid. But i do remember him saying nothing in the front and only a small bottle in the rear.

Venom went through hell with ARB on this. They refused warranty with any group 4 PAO. Said it needs to be a group 2 or 3. Stay away from calling something synthetic if you can, its like calling something billet now days.
