It is like someone let a toddler loose on EFI Live with a box of crayons and a squeaky hammer!!!
Well, I have to say, what ever "programming" is on this truck SUCKS!!!!!!!! Not it low power terms, it's just horrible!!! It is like someone let a toddler loose on EFI Live with a box of crayons and a squeaky hammer!!! Throttle is way too sensitive, seems to jump RPMs going down the road (might be the sensitive throttle). The tranny shifting is laughable.... Goes though first three gears fast, hangs on 4 til 55mph then ramps through the rest if the gears at the same time.
And worst of all, I've been through 3 tanks of fuel.... Average 13.8mpg with a light foot!!! There is no way a deleted and tuned stock tire truck should be that low!!! Looks like a DashDaq just moved way up the list!!!!
If oasis does not show a new short block in it's history, set aside $10k for one. Only a few make it over 150k -165k miles before needing a new engine.
And that's a $20k truck at best.

Most 6.4's I've ever owned and others that I've been around do not get good mileage. I've had four 6.4 trucks and I've never had one that got much more than 16-17mpg on all interstate with 13-15mpg normal driving. And towing I've averaged as low as 8mpg.
Btw these were all deleted tuned trucks. Probably has more to do with how you drive and how fast you normally cruise. But I know lots of people who complain about 6.4 mileage, tuned and stock. The best mileage truck I've ever owned was a 6.0.
Sent while hooked to something, somewhere, with my foot through the floor!
My thing about 6.4's is that if they get 13-17mpg while having the best mix of power, comfort, and reliability out of any other vehicle? sign me up!

3.55's?
my truck has 3.73's and a service body![]()
That's why I own two of them. I don't buy a 8000# truck for economy. I've got an f150 to drive when I'm feeling cheap.

People that say they don't want at minimum decent fuel mileage IMHO are 1 of 3 things. 1) Stupid 2) Joking or 3) Have more money than they know what to do with LOL. That being said after this latest round of snow we just received, and my wife driving my SD to work left me with 2 choices. 1) Drive my OBS f-250 or my 94 escort(work car) I opted to drive the obs LOL. This was the first time I've drivin my OBS in heavy snow since I have owned a SD (since 05). I would much rather been in my 8000#+ SD regardless of fuel economy LOL.
yes it does especially when its cold LOLThing with that, even if I had an abundance of cash, stopping to fill up sucks lol.
Idk how many people I talk to who base their mileage statements off the in-dash lie-meter!
