I honestly do care about fuel mileage, that's one criteria I had while buying a truck. And I will say it is a bit disappointing so far. But with that being said, I know with some programming that isn't a joke and is auctually worth while its going to bump up some, and I also think there are a few things with the truck leaving some performance on the table!!!

But as far as ride, comfort and performance.... I'm liking it more and more as the miles rack up! Just wish I could get a few things done quick instead of waiting on money!!!!!

I feel every letter of this post. I purchased an 08 w/ 80k in Nov and love everything but too wish the mpg were a bit higher from factory. I'm waiting for some cash to come in to do my cai, exhaust and tuner in hopes of 20+mpg then. Congrats on the truck again!

I wouldn't hang your hat on 20+mpg, but you can do the DPF delete cheap. I'll sell you an original XRT and a pipe for $500

Now that's a deal, especially with H&S being under EPA regulation now! I paid $500 for a used XRT alone, and I thought I was a thief! LOL

My tow rig, I've seen like 20.58XX MPG in this last tank (90% highway), and the street rig has managed over 20 MPG once or twice (lie-o-meter read like 21.9 or something), but any windy weather and its gone. Anything above 70 MPH and I'm getting 15-16 MPG. It was the same way with my 6.0L. Wind resistance kills the MPG on these trucks. I'm probably going to upgrade to the Job 3 air dam. Sure cant hurt.
