Glad to see the video. I forgot about this thread. Pretty impressive. I would live to see this truck go a mill on the odometer. Keep the videos coming.

Learning about TDI's.

Dads 6.7 has about 92k and has been deleted and tuned since about 50 miles on the clock. So far hasn't had one issue. It also tows pretty heavy and lives in dirt at the farm.

My fathers hit 71k today, no issues at all. The truck is loaded all the time and tows regularly, they are pretty solid motors. Bone stock besides a s&b.

Have a friend local to me that just rolled 170,000 miles on his 2011 F350, truck is bone stock and used solely for commercial towing. He guesses 145,000 were with at least 10,000lbs behind it. All he's done is regular maintenance and turbochargers (on his 5th one).

I see a single kit in his future.

I see a single kit in his future.

Can't justify the cost and doesn't want to do any emissions delete or tuning. The first turbo went out at 94,000 and was replaced under warranty (parts/labor). After that the turbos have all been under their 12,000 mile parts warranty, but he's had to fit the labor bills (he's been swapping them himself). He's at the point now, he's not willing to invest anymore money in the truck knowing the rest of the drive train is pretty high mileage, he thinks he'll just buy a new truck come fall.

Says he'll buy another Ford too, figures the rest of his maintenance costs have been so low he'll stick with it. 170,000 miles with no trans rebuild, no steering parts replaced, no ball joints, etc... he hasn't even changed the shocks. Figures the truck has earned it's keep, even if he's tired of swapping turbos every other month. lol

had a hot shot hauler drop some parts off the other day that had 187k on his '11. Bone stock and has done nothing but add Fuel, DEF and maintenance. He swore up and down that was all he'd done.
