Moving up from a 7.3 to 6.7, What should I be aware of

Its a bit different on a turd heui. That IS your fuel pump. And the filter is so awesome that everybody tosses it as soon as they can.

You seem to forget I dont have a 6.7. I dont know where anything is at under the hood, nor do have any frame of reference. I know like 6 people who have them. Ive driven 2.

Since its that obvious, what pump/filter setup are you using?

maybe i misinterpreted what you where getting at... do you mean change from the stock pre filter and lpfp frame mounted unit and post filter on the engine setup?

They only complaint I have on my STOCK truck is the 1st -2nd shift under WOT. When pulling out on the highway and I really have to get on it, it has lag and the defuel between the 1st - 2nd shift sucks. Once it gets past that it pulls your eyeballs back in your head!

Sooo, does the stock turbo in the pre 15 s tow pretty well? Or should I be looking to upgrade either to the modded 15, or a tow max? I see most of you appear to like the h&s mini max, whose the go to tuner for this? Sorry for the dummy questions, I'm just used to the older platform, now I gotta learn this one too soon

no compareson. Nothing tows like a 6.7... nothing.

Just get used to towing stupid amounts of weight and setting the cruise control and enjoying a conversation with the person next to you.

There are a few small issues like fuel tank capacity, and rear springs being a little light, but overall these things are great. Even the stock 2011-14 turbo works great towing.

Jump on the BD throttle booster. I believe every 6.7 owner should have one. And it doesn't void warrenty! It's plug and play.

Well, just sold the 96 this afternoon... Gonna miss it, but now the hunt begins for a 11-15 crew cab 4X4 dually...

On the list so far for first mods, traction bars, better shocks, and an h&s 64mm bell turbo kit, with the "spool" housing. Also gonna want a tuner, What should be looking for and who's the go to guy for tunes on these trucks? Also, any other recomendations (oh and the bd module listed above) on mods, this truck is to be a reliable family tow rig, and ibfeel the mods I'm looking into should get me to where I want

11-14 H&S with Gearhead MCC tunes.

15's you either got IDP or PIP on SCT.
