I was just saying that because someone had asked what size turbine wheel was on these turbos.

Adrian told me the stage 3 runs a GT40 turbine... not sure what size that is but he said its larger than any other 68vgt built for a Powerstroke, thats why it needs more tuning than the 68 pmax.

I don't think Tow/haul will help with anything...at least that's what i've been told.

Thats what i always thought to man, but on my truck i cant get it to break 2100 rpm with tow haul off... but when its on i can get it up to 2800 no problem, and it launches a hell of alot harder! If i can get traction and launch at 2500 she will be nasty:evil

Brair, where's the video, I would love to see vids of your truck going down the strip. Maybe some street driving with the turbo also, and how fast it gets to 100mph. I think it would give a better Idea to the members.

What size is the turbine wheel on the stage 3?

Since no one believed me when I answered this question before :p , here is the post I got the info from. Posted on the ORG.

Well,The Mad stage 3 aka "BIG BOY" is here.Thank god it's what I thought it would be.The compressor measures at 67.8mm/94mm and turbine is 76mm/67mm and 10 blade so it will whistle big time.I took pictures and disassembled already, time to start the new MADDNESS MOD.I had to post twice for pics.View attachment 37529

Adrian can correct me if I am wrong, but the Stage 4 uses the same size turbine and the compressor is a 70.7mm/94mm

I could be mistaken Adam but I believe the Stage 4 compressor wheel is 70.8mm x 96mm. Not trying to be a dick or split hairs but just trying give you (what I believe are) the right numbers. Hope it helps.

No big deal man, I thought it was 70.8 but I saw 70.7 someplace so I wasn't sure. I just looked back and you are 100% correct.

Damn how are you guys getting such heavy trucks.

My 05 CCSB with an ARE topper on it (approx 125 lbs) tipped the scales at 8180 lbs. That's with a full tank of fuel and my little azz sitting in the driver seat.
