I have the banks monster muffler for the past few years. It may not be the best but It is pretty quite. I'll either keep it or do entire exhaust change when I do turbo upgrade. But it has worked just fine for me.

Any videos of it and does it tame the hissing at all? I had one on my '06 Cummins and liked it. Kinda forgot about it to be honest.

I think it is pretty quite. It's a good medium between straight pipes and stock. Don't notice any hissing. I like to be incognito I even left my stock tips on. I've surprised a few dodges and duramax who thought my "stock" truck would be an easy kill. I'll try and get some clips tomorrow morning when i go fill up.

I picked one of these up at Fleetpride. It cuts the bark but keeps the whistle. Probably cut the overall noise by 50% at low RPMs but is still pretty loud when you put the wood to it.

I'm pretty sure that's the Nelson muffler that cross references to the Donaldson M085171 that I've been looking at. Does it have a fairly deep tone?

Yup, probably the same one. The tone isn't too deep, just midrange. I've been thinking about adding another in to go even quieter.

Thanks to all who are posting videos about their setups. Lucky for me my truck sits next door most of the time (neighbors are snow birds) so exhaust will face away from my house. They're on the corner so all I need to do is back out and idle down the street. I don't want to give up the bark or whistle but have to be conscious of how loud it is at 6am.

Did some digging on my phone and found a vid I took right before I put the Resonator on. I didn't rev the truck as much, But you can kind of get an idea of the Hiss. It Toned the Drone down a lot without completely killing the outside noise. I may add another short resonator later just to see if I like it or not. I'm pretty much done spending money on the 250 tho. Gotta show some love to my little Single Cab LSX truck now haha!

Wear some good headphones and it helps with the sound!

Thanks for the comparison vids..... those definitely help!

I ended up ordering the 34" body Donaldson to try on my truck and a 44" body Donaldson to try on another. Will get some comparison videos of those when I get them on.

Loving the videos to get a pretty good idea of how it would sound.
Looking forward to the Donaldson comparison! I just don't know how it will sound since my truck isn't exactly the same sounding anymore.
