looks awesome Gare. i recommend that you have a set of replacement heim joint bushings on hand. the ones that go in the end of the long arm tubes. we did this exact thing on a jeep and it seems that they are the only thing that wears out on it. (my hand is still burnt and bruised from changing the front ones last Saturday LOL )

Good info. Thanks!

Awesome build man. I was close to my mother too and lost her last year. Miss her everyday as well. Can't wait to see the pics of the finished product!

Nice job, I like that stance, needs some flares though...

Another option instead of the heim joints that are prone to failing is replacing them with a Johnny Joint from Currie. Just match up the shank and thread. They will hold up longer than the heim joints. That's what i've see a lot of people do instead of replacing the heim joints all the time. My control arms on my Jeep have Johnny Joints and have taken the abuse and still work great.

just curious...do those replacement Johnny joints work okay in the rear bracket where the two hiems are side by side?

My set up is a little different so i don't have them side by side. I've never had the heim joins so i'm not sure. Just going by what others have told me and their experience. I went straight to Johnny Joints as they allow more flexibility. Heim joints have their place, just the JJ do what i wanted to do.
