Damn man so sorry to hear that. At least you got it back rather quickly. Hopefully everything is salvageable

Sorry to hear that, i know the feeling, mine was stolen in july. Punched out the passenger side lock and destroyed the ignition, then rammed it into a tree a month after I put my 05 conversion on. Never caught the guy, but id like to meet him in a dark alley!!!

That really sucks, I don't know how I would handle that situation! Good thing you got it back rather quickly though, that doesn't happen often!

i am sure insurance will cover the interior/exterior. and you probably dodged a bullet if they were driving it when arrested. probably still runs!!

wow you're lucky to have it back. here, if its stolen its either stripped immediately or loaded up with wetbacks and headed to Mexico to work in the drug trade.

Hahaha exactly what I was thinking. I'm glad you got it back, hopefully you can get it back to where you had it! That just makes me sick someone taking that much care of a truck just to have some punk ruin it.

Yeah, that's what I thought too.
I figured as soon as they floored it, they would have then pulled over, opened the hood, dropped the jaw to the ground, and speed off to the nearest shop to strip it down to sell everything.

That sux...

Not sure when it was stolen...I've been at work for a week now, so it could have happened at any time...

Not sure if they found it at a shop, or what, because now it has a flat tire...never had a flat tire...and I don't think a thief would stop to change a flat.
I hope my insurance covers everything...full coverage...but really...what's a 2003 F350 in mint condition worth? 18-20K? (I got that into the engine/transmission) So not sure what's gonna happen.

Yes, I am away for work...

That was honestly my first thought.
It's not that my truck could be driven around without it being noticed...
If it were me doing the stealing, and I found a truck like mine...I wouldn't be able to find a chop shop fast enough...

The way I kinda understand it is...this group of car thieves were under investigation, and my truck just happen to be on location when the police "Sting" happened.
Then, when they had the truck back in the compound, they ran the plates, and called my wife to see if we had lent out keys to anyone.

Yeah, I'm glad they found it...but I'm not looking forward to finding out all the damage.

Glad it was found. Just look at it this way. Restoring it to the pristine condition it was in before will be way easier than it would be to completely rebuild that truck from scratch.

Thanks everyone.

Wasn't too sure if I wanted to even post it up on the forums, but then thought, "What better way to get people from all over the country to look for a truck..."

So, I posted it up.

I will def keep everyone up to date with what happens.

Glad you got it back!! Hopefully everything under the hood is ok..

As a side note you may want to invest in one of these once everything is said and done..I've heard good things about them preventing these fords from getting stolen, especially with how easy these trucks are to steal.

www.ravelco.com

I have one on my truck, luckily it hasn't been tested yet.

Again, glad the truck was found keep us posted.
