Just had mine rebuilt with the iron PAC 3 and guess what it's in the shop again , the first time I blew the torque converter so rebuilt the whole thing now the pump seized up and took out the torque converter

Elite said those ironpacs are thinner than their clutches so they fit with stock parts.

My iron pac 3 couldnt use all the direct clutches on a stock drum either. Ill be redoing my trans in the future, but its been okay for 20k miles

Im putting down like 800 to the wheels on a dyno calibrated for gassers, But my iron pac 3 kit is holding up for 20k miles or so. I havent hit the drag strip yet, but these parking lots i race in are pretty darn tuff, ask lance. We go head to head often.

does a converter change contribute alot to the durability?

How would a rebuilt 5r hold up to higher than just tuned power levels with the ede kit...without billet parts and stock converter?

Do you watch converter slip?

pshh, nope. The more i monitor the more problems I have. Ignorance is bliss LOL It will slip if I pull in overdrive hard. But if im doing 0-whatever runs its okay. Im going to push this thing until it dies, same goes for this motor.

I'm not sure if the edge does monitor that... I would think it does? But I'm not 100%.

Lol and Greg I know what you mean. My converter seems ok, but watching the converter slip makes me cringe!
