I have an 05 and about a month ago i had problems with it not starting like it was starving for fuel. They told me if was my FICM so i had it replaced and and that seemed to have solved the problem. Now every once and a while if i drive the truck for a for a few hours sometimes it wont start. But if you give it about an hour or so to cool down it will start right up. I am stumped. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Yeah, likely the STC fitting. I would do the STC fitting ~$40, and the updated dummy plugs and stand pipes ~$120 and call it good. Unless these parts have already been replaced at one point recently...

Typically it's the STC fitting though.

Define easy? The STC fitting is just under the HPOP cover. Turbo has to come out and you can get at it. Not terribly hard, just time consuming if it's your first time. The d-plugs and stand pipes are under the valve covers.

You can confirm this by an air leak test when hot. If u have a tool to add shop air through the icp port.

Very few cases will u see a CMP sensor fail when hot. But has happened.
