is the chrome pealing off? i just thought it was a reflection...

It's bubbling/ starting to chip off...oh8 probs for sure.

Soon I'll have an fx4, or Harley grille. Leaning more towards the HD and painting chrome black. It's a friggin eye sore every time I look at my truck. It'll fall into place in due time.

Just going to buy a new one, prefer the HD/fx4 design over mine anyways. By the time I take it off and have my body shop complete that task it'll be close, if not more than the fx4.

Finally got this whore lowered. No rear block, 4800# coils, fox 2.0 resi, and 420s. Just in time for Rudy's. New Trac bars going on soon.

Ride awesome, feels like I'm driving an SUV. Soaks up all the imperfections on the road awesome. Had a 4" lift with some bs rancho shocks that were at the end of their road.
Bigrpowr recommended resi mounts with no rear block and lighter duty springs for ride quality. She rides like a Cadillac.

My buddy runs a shop, and ordered all my stuff, I'd have to ask him, then I could pm you. I know for most part the springs are straight from Ford. I believe the vendor on here- sunrise Ford can get you a competitive price as well from what I've read. They're only a couple hundred bucks. Bigrpowr likes the 4400# springs, along with others. I chose the 4800#. Might grab a set of 4400# just to try out. Can't go wrong either way.

Yea from what ive found they are about 100 bucks a spring. That was another question what the difference in the 4400 springs would be compared to 4800

Finally had my traction bars installed. Fresh powder coat, new mounting brackets, and heim fittings/misalignment spacers etc. Also had my driveshaft balanced, and spicer u joints installed. Truck is finally where it needs to be, and ready for a couple passes.

Brief update-

As like many of you are, I'm getting my truck ready for Rudy's. Same time finding some **** I don't want to. Noticed when I was changing oil a few weeks ago that I had a small, but noticeable oil leak. Wiped her down well, and kept my eye on it. It came back, and since my build is under warranty I took it back to my shop. Found out today we are looking at a potential bed plate gasket leak. So after Rudy's the motor is getting tore down to short block status etc..new gaskets/seals. Get what you pay for, glad my shop is big on warranties. Throwing an elite diesel dual fueler kit on (mildly used) while cab is up and motor apart.

My question is- how does a new motor have bed plate gaskets leak? Engine builder was blindsided on this, naturally. Any guesses?
