So I have a problem. This POS has a horrible vibration from about 75 and up. Just started a week ago. Shakes the entire truck. Tires are balanced, everything is torqued, no drive line vibration. I don't even want to drive it right now I'm so pissed off. Only thing that's changed since I put it all together was switching to the level 4 tune on the SCT. I've had the tears off and on 20 times now double checking and rechecking

Dually dilemmas lol. Every dually I've owned had a shake at that speed. Stock or aftermarket tires. Same as my dads dodge. I just equated it to the extra torsional mass leveraging on the axle more then a single rear wheel does. As well having even the slightest off balance no matter how minute is gonna get exaggerated by the rest of the duals. But usually it goes away after about 85mph.

Does it go away at all?

It pisses me off because I build several a month usually just a 3" and 35's with the occasional 6" and 37" deal with no issues. My last personal one with the same lift wheel/tire combo was perfect. It doesn't go away once it starts and that tells me it's not a tire issue balance issues. I know the normal Dually "hop" or shuffle as I call it, this isn't it.

I'm beginning to think it's a driveline/ harmonics thing. I just switched back to the level 3 tune and I'll go for a drive later. But any advice is appreciated.

Well I kicked it down to level three. I have 4 levels of PIP tunes. It is better, but still there. Comes on right at 74 mph, gets worse at 80 and stays there all the way to 100.

Brand new tires? I had a battle on my viper with high speed vibration that I never could figure out, new tires solved it. I know it's two different platforms but could it be just bad tire/s?

Brand spankin new Nitto Trail Grapplers. It really feels like it's coming from the right rear after driving up and down the hwy multiple times tonight. Im going to swap the outers side to side and see what happens. It just doesn't feel like a tire issue.

I went through half shafts, drive shaft and even wheel berings, balanced the tires 5 times, even had the suspension adjusted 3 times lol. Hope it's as easy as bad tires, I know how insanely pissed I was at that vibration. And we're talking a car with a 200+ mph speed limit, that vibration at 80mph+ really put a damper on the cars "fun" factor...

Well I believe it's fixed. As a last ditch effort, I removed the carrier bearing drop and no more crazy hop/vibe. Obviously it has a driveline vibe at take off and under throttle, but at least I know where to start. It had a 2" and then a 2-1/2" drop. I'm going to start with a 1-7/8 and see what happens.

Love it man. The truck is gorgeous. I like the chrome up front. Have you ever thought about a platinum grille? I wonder how that would look. Sub'd

Thanks. Haven't thought about the platinum center bars, most likely I will end up painting the existing ones grey to match the wheels and call it good on the grille.

Added a couple more pieces. Recon fender lights and tinted stock tails. I'll get around to tinting the 3rd and lights under the tailgate next week.

your truck is dope! I was thinking how it would look with the center bars and your headlights matching the grey wheels? I have a white truck too and don't know what color Id do my lights either. Kinda wanna do my center bars and my lights to match my Two tone caribou brown. IDK though lol its a tough decision.

Maybe if not that Id do my center bars white and my headlights white with caribou brown shrouds. DECISIONS! lol

Appreciate it. If I do the center bars grey, the headlights will be white and the projector bezels will be grey.

White headlights with either projector bezels caribou or you could do the buckets caribou and the outer portions white.

Your truck with the center bars caribou and the headlights white with caribou buckets, white shrouds, caribou reflector with white king ranch running w on them would look amazing.

It is an expensive one, but fun as can be and luckily I am fortunate enough to own a business that gets to build cool trucks everyday.
Now see I'd love to be doing something that for a living. I'm sure it takes a good bit of $$$ to get going though

I finally got around to installing my power step lights. I used 5050 LED strips and love how bright they are. Don't mind the difference in the pattern as the driver side board was deployed.
