If you post in that thread, be sure not to brag that your radiator has been problem free.

:slap:

Mine went out after like 60,000 miles and it was a later build than the ones that were covered under the recall/tsb or whatever Ford did to resolve the problem.

well, ask and you guys shall receive. once BFT drops off his radiator to get the cad drawing done and measurements, expect 90 days. there will be a couple of hurdles like like connections , etc.. but we will probaly be looking at 90 days once its drawn. ill have BFT make a new thread.

Mike, you planning on using the same clip type connectors for the hoses that are on these trucks now? I have never seen that style until this truck.

That's quite the under taking but I interested to see how it turns out.

eric, basically the biggest hurdle so far is figuring out how to mate the stock lines. the radiator itself is not so much. measure, make a cad drawing, and find a suitable core. like i said, it wont be easy, but the guys working on this stuff, know exactly what they are doing. i honestly had no idea so many people were popping radiators.

I don't think that part will be all that hard, those can be CNC'd. I think the huddle will be keeping cost low enough to make them afordable to the masses. That core is huge and will be a custom made core only unless you can find a way to use the stock core and have new aluminum end tanks tiged on. You know since the leaks are at the seam of where the plastic end tanks and core are clamped together and not the core itself that leaks.

And these things are oddly shaped, not a usual square radiator with those feet or what ever you want to call them on the bottom to align it.

That is what the mexican is for, cheap labor for the needed adjustments.

we'll see. but the stock core will not be reused. why not increase efficiency while im at it? that being said, only one way to find out, and i will do just that.

I am looking forward to this. Rad just started leaking after a cold snap here (-35*C). My truck is a driveway queen, so I can wait. BTW, your avatar is hypnotizing. So much booty......

I have had one radiator replaced, but I would buy a all aluminum one just for piece of mind.

yeah, this should not be a big job to tackle. price should not be much more than a stocker.
