First one on this page #23766. http://www.moroso.com/catalog/categorydisplay.asp?catcode=21001 i tigged an fittings on..orb fittings are expensive.personally i like the flow numbers of the 7.3 filter vs that donaldson better.with a non bypass filter you definitely wants to err on the safe side.the factory filter while filtering to a smaller micron, had a bypass so you also get non filtered oil when the flow capacity is exceeded.on a full flow you get a filter blown through your engine in tiny pieces.

If a 6.0 van engine came with this setup then what is wrong with just using a stock van replacement filter?

You can, it wasn't what i needed though.if you need to relo and you want improved filtration rcd's kit with the full flow 7.3 filter and bypass type 5mc filter together is really the best option.you can't get both high flow and 5mc< in the same full flow filter unless its 2+ feet long.they just don't go hand in hand.

Oil Filter Relocation

We have the Moroso filter adaptor, using a Napa 1734XE filter which is a 10 micron rating instead of the standard Napa 1734 which is a 21 micron rating. Also running a FS-2500 bypass filter. We have these on a 6.0 and 6.4.

What do you guys use for a plate on top of the motor?

Skinny, any chance you can get a full spec sheet from Donaldson? Whoever you spoke with maybe? A filter with an absolute rating of 15 microns that flows 20 gpm is a unicorn.

I can try.. I called lots of different people and all got the same answer. I even made sure with my old boss who is a parts manager at a Western Star Dealer told me all the same info that i was told from my other sources. I got the filter base filter just waiting for the plate for the oil cooler.
