I allways gave a half a turn with the wrench otherwise the filter would leak and never had a problem getting them back off.. The outer shell of a Motorcraft 1995 is stronger than some of the aftermarket ones.. I allways poked a hole in the bottom of the filter before removing it..

^^^This^^^ plus oil on the seal and have never had any problems.

This happened to me once I alway oil my oring hand tighten and my threads alway seem fine and last time I changed it I could not get the damn thing off I ended up using one of the chain type oil wrenches pulled broke the chain off I was able to go one link tighter and was able to get it to budge then it spun right off like nothing. But the chain didn't slip on the filter you just want to get it as high up as possible so you don't crush it

Was the handle of the wrench at the back of the filter pushing towards the frame ?

Yes I am turning it counter clockwise I have been double checking with a ratchet since the truck/filter style is new to me. The mech I used put oil on ring filled it first like any other rig it baffled him. He is thinking it swelled some and just wait a 1000-1500 miles then do another change I just do not want to repeat last time I learned my lesson on a few things.

Make him take it off...

Take it back.

Let him do it.

You put the new one on so if this happens again you have nobody to blame but yourself.

Well guy he is I am asking if this is possible for the ***kin filter to self tighten. I did not put this one he did so he is taking care of it under his warranty.

I don't believe they would tighten from the recommended 3/4 turn past when it bottoms out, to where you have to replace the oil cooler end cause you cant get it off...

Honestly it is just as bad as last time some else can deal with it.
My neighbour can walk by it may fall off in horror and run.

I hear you. I'm was really reaching for this guy with that comment Mark. I'm certain he's very frustrated that his new pride and joy is having issues and I don't want to see that for him all joking aside.
