Ok so initial testing of lv4 v8.04 started tonight. Here's the 0-60 video:

So this tune is what I compare the 600QR against, so when I reference $partan or P!P for this, it's the 600QR vs P!P lv4 8.04.
First the shifting isn't as firm or quick as $partan. I received a 2-3 flare and multiple 5-6 flares. Now I only got the 2-3 flare after the 0-60 run, and then so far haven't been able to duplicate it.
As for the 5-6 flare, this happened same as the $partan tuning, when I was around 45-50mph with minimal throttle input or while engaging cruise control. So this may be just a symptom unique to my trans.
As for the shifting, it's just not as quick or firm, and that's just a fact. The upshifts are slower, yet smoother. I actually like the way P!P's new tunes shift, when I'm just running errands or cruising around town. They're much smoother when it comes to low throttle input. But when it comes to WOT and driving "spirited" the 600QR is just much much faster with upshifts.
Now the gripes I have, just 2, and they're very very minor.
1: P!P does not like to downshift when just coasting to a stop, seems more reluctant to select a lower gear until you really press past 1/3rd pedal travel. $partan has this nailed as coasting down from 40 to a stoplight, the truck shifts down accordingly. With the P!P, it's till in 5th at 30mph... feels like I'm in neutral with no engine braking...
2: P!P tuning likes to shift up in the middle of turns... I'm sorry but this may not be a big deal to most, but I was raised on manuals and shifting up in a turn is just... I know, I know, we're not on a race course, but this just annoys the hell out of me. Seems to happen around 20-30mph on the 2-3 shift.
Going to the dyno tomorrow, so I'll get some good seat time in on the way up and back *2 hour drive one way*, and hopefully some good vids!
