Looking into to compounds In the future... Injectors will either be 190/100 or 205/100s. I'm currently running a powermax so what I'm wondering is can I add a turbo such as 475 or 480? I haven't herd much success running a Vgt in compounds... I'm not looking for a full out race truck more of a dd, tow rig weekend warrior at the local track.... Not spraying or anything like that.. So lets here it from some pros!

just avoid the headache, sell the pmax and you'll have money to get a properly sized 62 as the HP. don't worry about the tuning enigma that surrounds "vgt compounds"

I think MPD has a twin kit out that uses the stock charger. One of the cleaner setups I've seen done. Limited piping and Craig says it performs really well. Maybe give them a shout

I was just curious didn't know if it would be a super hassle or not.... I'm assuming the Vgt is hard to work and keep the back pressure down.

I know Mpd makes a twin kit using a 62 and a 475 was just interested to see if it was possible and how it works with the Vgt... I'm sure I could do a big single and be fine but the twins just seems like a better setup that would be a fun street truck...

There is a thread on here somewhere about mpd's setup. If I remember right they gated around the vgt to help keep drive pressure down.

Ill have to talk to them. I could see how hating around it would work.... I just don't get why it wouldn't work...

Ditch the vgt like everyone says. You won't regret it. I'd love to throw a s480 behind my s363. But that pretty well takes the 2.5 class outta the picture. Lol

Not really. Once you factor in the turbo, pedestal, adapter flange, feed line and drain line...a 66 setup is probably gonna be in the $2500 range...unless I'm missing something. The MTW stage 4 is $3500 I think...so not really quadruple the price. Plus the stage 4 will more than likely make more power and have better DD characteristics.
