ps pump or hydro boost?

So when I bought my current truck the ps pump was bad so I replaced with a remanned unit from o reillys about a year ago, just recently the truck has started to act up. When im on the brakes I can't turn the wheel, the brakes work fine and when I let off the brakes ps comes.right back, so what do you guys think, weak pump or bad hydro boost?

Most likely the PS pump. The stock pumps dont like turning the tires when on the brakes anyhow.

What would be a good pump that will provide enough for ps and brakes?

One thing to consider is the steering box too. I considered the pump as a fix for my steering problems but when I replaced the steering box with a red head box all my problems went away with turning the wheels when sitting still with the brakes on. Im not saying thats a definite fix for you but it fixed mine.

Another thing mine was doing though was not returning to center after curves and such too. So there was more going on than just being a pain to turn sitting still, but the brakes being applied made it much harder to turn sitting still is why I mentioned this. Something to consider at least.
