Another good idea is to take some althread about 6-8" long and thread it into the two outermost bolt holes. This makes the tranny lined up perfectly, and you just push it forward. It's still heavy, but definitely makes a 1-man operation go smoother.

This althread idea was genius! The tranny went back in easier than it came out!

Have an issue with the rear driveshaft connection to the rear of the transfer case. The transfer case flange does not appear to be threaded! What was holding the driveshaft to it?! Does not appear to have been the bolts! What am i missing? Did I strip out the threads when I removed it? In all 4 holes?

I must have been delirious when I thought this...went too long without drinking water.

Problem was resolved.
