Real Tuning

No glitches for me thus far running the 150 tune, drove about 400 miles from nc to ga yesterday. Mpg is better than mex flash, jury is out by how much till i get a few tanks in to really see.

Runs very smooth, great throttle response, but not too touchy and very linear. Light haze at WOT, little puff at tip in.
I got my fill with a few WOT runs, dont plan to do that anymore. I will probably feel better about running the 75 tune with no trans tuning., but going to run 3-4 tanks thru this 150 file before the switch to compare mpg etc between the two.

Ordering SOTF switch today.
Anyone know the story on that 0-200 SOTF tune? must be max effort. I will def stay away from that one lol

thoughts on how it runs? any issues that you would like to see changed or are they good for now?

only asking because i have someone out here in NY that is interested but wants to make sure that there are no glitches or issues before buying a device.

and that question is for anyone else who has tuned the 17 6.7s also.

Dude it is stupid how easy it really is. I had to unplug the box twice to get the blue light to come on so my phone would find the wifi. After that it was cake. I did notice a new warning saying engine is warming with a countdown from 15 seconds. I don't have the switch to adjust wired in yet so I just put the 75 HP tune in. Truck is still really quite in the cab and you hear a little turbo. Truck is easier to drive now way less peddle to get it moving. Like mentioned above with the sun setting you see a little haze from the pipe on a decent little pull. Biggest thing is it does not take away from the quality and the comfort of the truck, it still has a non ***ed with feel to it.

i dont know exactly, but should be 30/60/90/120/150 . i'm really happy with how clean they are.

Hey just got my sotf switch. Question loading the sotf tunes- when you load that tune, do you need to have the switch in the desired position? So if I want the 150 tune on number 3, set the dial to 3 and load that tune?

no, you have to load a SOTF file and yu get a range of power from 0-150 or 30-230 , just dont run those files with switch disconnected.

The updated tunes that keep trickling out from PPEI, is there info out there somewhere that describes changes being made etc?

 I figure in about 2 months I'll be ready for some tunes. in the meantime, I'll keep watching this thread, see how things are going.

Im with you on this one about waiting. My real reason for not wanting to d-elete/tune yet is because there isnt any transmission tuning and engine tuning available on one platform. I'm just not going to risk my trans with a 150 hp over stock file. Once engine and trans tuning become available either through EZlynk or Patriot/ngauge, Ill definitely be looking then.

PPEI/EZ-lynk is supposed to have TCM tuning available by end of month or sooner.

I'm holding off as well, at least until there's more feedback out there.

Does anyone know if the files out there are truck/PCM calibration specific, or if they're all the same file just renamed to write over the factory flash? My reason for asking is because there have been a few calibration updates since the release of the 2017's, and I don't want to load a file that will undo any of the updates or revisions from Ford.

With my 2012, many of the early H&S files out there were just renamed 2011 calibrations without any of the updates/fixes. That's why I'm wondering if these new tunes are based off of what's current or if they're just modified versions of job 1 calibrations.

they told me "near future" as well. Looking forward to them

I am very happy thus far with running the single 150 tune thus far, i cannot find anything negative about it.

just got my SOTF switch in the mail last night, looking forward to trying the latest v2.2 sotf tune

they also plan to add a few more single tunes to the server very soon

Honest question, not being a smart ass. How does tranny tuning alone make the tranny any safer with a 150hp or 150+hp tune? Wouldn't it need mechanical upgrades? Higher line pressures or torque converter behavior? Interested in a 100 or maybe 150hp tune eventually but love the way the tranny shifts stock and don't want some harsh shifting thing. More power of course is more better.
