Rear a/c line was hit with a piece of road debris and cracked it. Is the front and rear a/c system independent of each other? Does the body need to be rised off the frame to put new lines on? Looks like a pian to do either way.

One system, front and back share common refrigerant.
No, you don't have to pull the body to change a line, however you'll need to evacuate the system before replacing the lines.

Just a slight crack . What would you splice it with

An AC splice kit. I will PM a link to a thread on how to do it. Either than explaining.

You could also braze it.

To hose wondering, I do not want to get in trouble by posting a link to another forum.

Got the ac splice kit. Didn't need it. Turns out it was the rear heating line. It was the 2nd from the bottom line. Figured it out when I cut the line and antifreeze came out. Used some 5/8 inch heater hose and some new clamps. Topped off the antifreeze and no leaks
