well, the street tune i believe took place of the street firm tune. its a little more responsive then the rest of the tunes and i think has a lil more ass then the previous street firm tune.. the performance tune is still as laggy as it was... seems to be smokier then the previous performance tune but boosts a lil less.. previously it would hit 28 to 30ish psi, now it is at 24-25 psi and doesn't clear up near as much.. i dont think the extreme tune is as good as it was either.. it might be a lil more responsive then the previous extreme tune but it doesnt hit near as much boost.. actually doesn't go much if at all higher then the performance tune does.. it got dark on me so i couldnt tell how well it cleaned up the smoke but i dont think it cleaned it up very much. not like it used to.. and i dont think its as stout as it was...


i should have saved the new updates in their own slots instead of writing over the previous tunes so that i could compare them better.. might have to hit up zak/will and see about getting the older tunes back but i hate to be a pita!

Does it smoke the whole time you are in the throttle? Mine just puffs a good size cloud when I get on it then you can't see anything while its mashed down after that. I know different tuners just comparing for reference.

thats exactly how the old tunes where.. i know my new performance tune is smokier then the old extreme tune....

That means it's not burning off as much fuel as fast correct?
Doesn't answer the question of why the old tunes where cleaner but laggier though.

that or its gettijg more fuel... or my turbo is in fact giving up..... no idea why it was lagier from the factory.. lag has always been there even bone stock... but just like you said about there beijg an initial cloud of black then quickly dissappeared.. its not like that now.

i have been switching from extreme to performance tunes and i am not sure if its possible to mess up and load tunes wrong but the extreme and performance tunes are exactly alike now... gotta talk to rudys and see if i ***ed up some how..
it very well could be tye turbo i guess but it doesnt feel any different from when it was brand new off the lot.. i guess the fact that i can see the cloud of smoke roll out helps determine that its obviously laggy.. so in other words, it has never been right..

ended up putting it back in the new street tune. thwts the most responsive tune it has. i am positive that its better then stock.. on gravel roads from a stop it will be spinning and throwing gravel before the puff of smoke gets out of the pipe.. on pavement it will slap my head off the headrest before the puff of smoke comes out.. unless i mash it to the floor its pretty responsive. better then stock!!

so i loaded the tow file the other day and it was doing some funky things with the trans..

went through and loaded each tune over the last week or so and drove it for a day or 2 in each tune..

tow tune miraculously fixed itself and i do believe that it is the absolute closest to stock power you can get.. has just a ever so slight puff of gray on the initial stab of the throttle on take off. but that's it.. i like it for the no smoke reason.

well, my rail pressure tanks in the extreme tune so i have been running the performance tune and ran at an 1/8th mile track last night here in buffalo ny..

heres my slips. i am going to the cat scales tonight after work to weigh it.

Oh man that's painful.
lol prolly.. im stuck in the 1.90s 60ft with this truck and my dually.. i dont think its to bad for just tuned abd dpf deleted work truck. that weighs over 8k lbs.

what makes it so painfull to you?
