Shaking at light throttle

Well I had my truck reflashed. Eric said he would have to email me an update after I get the flash done before I load the tunes back to the truck. I let them know last week I was going to do it Friday evening, called back and let them know Thursday that I was still going to get it done and even on the way to the dealer I sent an email saying I was almost there to get it done and I would email my new strategy and etc. Reason I was so concerned is I didnt want to be driving around on stock without a dpf and egr intact, and I had to drive 150 miles today. They said they would get me taken care of to send the info asap. I did, then I called saturday morning to see how it was going. Eric was busy at the dyno or something. Anyways I still havent recieved an update yet. Thank goodness for gearhead tunes, I was able to load one up and make my trip today

Eric had my update in my email yesterday morning. I loaded it last night and loaded the extreme street tune (the one with the worst symptoms), I drove it last night and it drove beautiful UNTIL my truck gets to around 175*, the symptoms come back. So I just took it for a spin today, same thing, drove great until my ECT hits 170* and it starts again.

Yeah im not sure. I unplugged the fuel temp sensor and just went and drove. Same thing, only happens when truck gets warm. The rpms bouncing at 1900rpm is what drives me crazy. Bothers the piss out of me. I guess I have 5 tunes I paid for and only 1 is any good. Then I got my gearhead tunes to run also

If SCTs tables are anything like MCC, there are different tables depending on what temp the truck is. For example, through trial and error, on MCC Hot Engine tables kick in at 150 ECT. Maybe SCT'S hot engine tables are at 170 and the problem still exists on the Hot Engine tables.

This is odd, sucks we don't have more of a definition of what temps are in effect at what times.

I had the issue....until I went back to stock rails. Now I advise against running them, unless you don't mind the drivability issues.

The truck that I started the thread about has stock rails.... I can't say whether it is my rails or tuning because I updated my Spartan around the same time I did a bunch of work to my truck. I will say before I updated my Spartan my truck never did this.

My truck didn't do it, I added the ported fuel rails, it started doing it, I removed the ported fuel rails, and it stopped doing it. No change in tuning.

When I did HGs, I was considering a ported rail, then all of the surging issues with ported rails on stock injectors came out. That problem was universal no matter which companies tunes were run. IMO stock injectors with ported rail = bad idea.

I hear ya. I don't doubt that the ported rails may be an issue. But this truck does it with stock. And like I said they did find one of the valves in the hpfp to go nuts when the shaking occurs

My truck is doing it worse and worse. It hardly did it when i first put the rails in. Now it is terrible i cant even drive 55-65. I would say it has to be something going bad like the hpfp

Its just the hpfp not liking something. We just have to figure that out.

I found 8 people yesterday having the problem through the forums online. All these are without ported rails, running Erics tuning. It seems that everyone started having the problem when they updated to the 3.01 version. I know thats also when I did

No, IDP's 3.01. You are having the same symptoms as us, just ours is caused something program related, yours is ported rails. You remove your ported rails, you eliminate your problem

It's def something in the pump fighting back and forth. Wonder if it has something to do with the vcv tables or something beyond just rail pressure.

My truck has this gawd awful noise at idle when hot I can't figure out. I think the two are connected but I'm not for sure

That's what I'm wondering. If something in the tables of the most recent update of tunes is causing.this to happen. Like I said before my truck didn't do it until this last most recent update, and has done it on every tune since
