I was around. Ive been on the diesel ford sites since '04. Build my truck? No thanks. Sinking all that money into a trhck is pointless...all it does is pull my toys around. Thats the only reason I bought a diesel. Not to "make power with", but bc it pulls much better than my old gasser did. A '12 5.0 with a good driver and full exhaust, intake, and tune went 12.45@115mph locally. With a decent 60' also...sticky tires, cool air, and 100% stock I went 12.70@106mph. With my far inferior 3v 4.6. I would hate to ruin these guys ego's about their car when I run a 12.4@110-112 with gears/exhaust on my $15k car, and their car thats twice the price baely outruns it. For shame! I NEVER build anything for the 1/4 mile though...running 10.30's in a car built to take turns is FAR more fun.

Ohh.... you did that in a 3500 pound car alot of hard work poured into it. I could make my mustang run 10s to easily. To me doing something "easy" isn't being competitive.
