Streetmax Turbo Arrived - DIY Tips?

With the L shaped heatercore tube on the passenger side, I'd make sure to put a little lube on the O ring and be careful not to cut it. She's a leaker and that's a mess.

I did my ATS with the EGR still on. When I replaced it with the SM, I had ******d the EGR all ready. Man does that make it 1000 times easier!!!

It's going in Sunday (hopefully). I'm pumped! I can't wait to be running 6.4 power levels again!

You ain't lying. The day after I did my swap I took it in to flush coolant. Noticed it was leaking when I got home. Ya, lost a few gallons putting a new o ring on

Mike and boys, Morgan, or someone should come up with a better design for the coolant hose junction once the EGR is removed. I thought about a different design but was wondering if there's another reason it's so high.

Lol I may need it. I left the whole day open for it. I'll try to take some pictures and stuff.

Does anyone know why this kit has an exhaust manifold looking thing? Do I need to swap a manifold? Also I'm 2.5 hours in and just pulled the turbo out.

I figured that out. Quite obvious once you see the egt sensor block off plate lol. Just about done. Anyone know what to do with the line that went to the waste gate

Recap of Today!

So a little recap, everything is put together. Took alost exactly 6 hours from start to finish. Slightly more intense than i had thought but not too bad. Taking the v band clamps off was easy. Putting them back on was harder IMO. Pics to follow.

Fun truck to drive, seems to take longer to light than I thought but once it lights WOW I love it and Im sure the more I drive it the more comfortable it will feel.

Looks great, yeah if you haven't done revised tuning then that's a must! Morgan's tuning has mine driving like it did with the stock turbo. I would get rid of that plastic cold side pipe too before it explodes lol.

I got revised gh tunes, I'm going to go with Morgan's tunes though. His turbo, his tunes, makes sense to me.

lets at least make a couple changes before you buy more tunes.
