I saw that truck in mexico a couple years ago driving on the street. I believe I've also seen it at an off-road show or two. Nice truck.

Post up before you take the truck out there. I'm about 2.5 hours from there as well. Maybe I'll have my bronco done by then.

What would make you go to a different set up then the pin top? Not enough travel??

Also pretty much decided Im going to put at least a roll bar in it if not a cage. Super cabs just dont have any crush support with no b pillar.

Make sure you take detailing pic of the roll bar please. Making a truck kind've like yours. It's a 1999.5, doing a conversion to a 2005+ axles and full cali suspension. But won't be as off road worthy as yours, still needs to tow 18k well. But to still be able to haul in the desert.

I was hoping for a thread like this! Keep up the great work!!

Still havent decided yet. The ranger is getting one and I wont be able to take it out on the street to test it and tune it. So I would be nice If this truck had one so I could get the hang of it instead of doing it 1/4 mile at a time.

and if I do that its going to put a hold on the long travel stuff

At least you have a nice suspension under it at the moment. It will give you some time to do a little more research on how you will set up the long travel in the front with the turbos and what not.

If not you will be spending a lot more time at the track trying to get the ranger dialed in.

Its like a double edged sword and yet still a win-win. How did you manage to pull that off?

put the turbos will have to change. Im thinking about moving the radiator to the back and mounting the low pressure in front of the motor. but we will see.

Less suspension isn't always a bad thing. It's good for learning how to drive the vehicle. Then progress with it's build.
