That's a beam set up. But its easier to get 20"+ travel out of vs a J arm set up.

Cantilever set ups are typically in the rear and look like this.

This is a j arm set up for reference.

These are 2.5" fox front and Rear. Rears have 3.0 resivours. (No coils yet)

Bypasses are 3.5" 5 tubes front and rear. Rears have 4.0 resivours.

That's a pretty bad ass set up so there isn't any reason to change it. This is over 10k retail

Cantilever setups are badass. Pretty sure 1 of those Foxes is more than my entire suspension. I was always intrigued as a kid modding and setting up my old Traxxis Revo (I know its just a toy) but you could almost double the travel with the cantilever setup compared to the trucks with tradition shock mounts.

For the rear? Wouldn't the leafs still limit travel?

I know CARLI has the cantilever system for the dodges.

Most cantilever set ups on off road trucks are used with leafs to be able to get anot of travel with out cutting holes in the bed and building a bed cage. But I have seen some buggies and TTs with coil overs on a cantilever but it's not common.

well ford calls it twin I beam. its what 2wd superduties run as well as 2wd f150s up to 96. this no longer has the cast iron factory beams it has fabricated beams.

and with the correct cross over steering it will not be effected.

starting with a 351 winsor? why a th400?

live life full throttle

god bless america and the farmer who feeds your fat ass

Yeah it will be a stroked 351.

Th400 because it will last and cheap and it's what everyone uses.

No LS based motor? That would be my go to, especially if you're already using a th400.

Because LS is Chevy LOL no more discussion!

You can get a bell housing to bolt a th400 right up to the sbf not an issue at all.
