6.4 is lower stall than a 6.0 it's closer to 1600

And it's much harder to push through an aftermarket converter than it is with a stock one.. I hit mine with a 75 shot while I was spooling (attempting) and my converter laughed at it.

Tuning is huge

This ^ my truck started out as having no power at all.. laggy smokey pig no bottom end at all.. I couldn't even go on the freeway without smoking everyone out 1000-1200 egts at 60 would hit 1700 easily at half throotle 25 mph max up a hill. I switched to GH a few tweaks and problem solved ,yes its still a little laggy but it its not terrible it spools faster then a stock 6.4 with the unplugged VGT also I'm trying spin heavy 22's on 35's with 3.55's LOL. Top end is awesome and egts never get over 1350.

Next on the list is 4.30's and a converter.

This makes you sound like an idiot. Tuning must've been trash on that truck.

A 366 will outrun stock chargers all day everyday.

Your idea of an idiot is different too. Mine isnt taking a truck and making a race car out of it.

Carry on.

Not calling you one by any means man. I just don't think that truck was even remotely close to being setup properly.

I was also to the point of thinking of switching the 366 and going with a 59/72 setup I just couldn't take how it drove with all the smoke and egts especially since I DD also we have mostly hills here.

I was like you know what I'm going to try out some new tunes before I decide.

Stock 6.4 is 1600 as was established 8 years ago on the forums. 6l is what 1900 or 2000?

6.4 is 1600 6.0 is 1800. Stall speed isn't an exact science but those two numbers are what I see most often when referencing the two

I had mine for a week. Had two tune revisions and still couldn't deal with it.

I swear I've read the stock stall is 2200 multiple times.

It would be stupid on stock turbos.. They damn near make boost at idle.

It seems higher because the 6.4 will easily push the stock converter to higher levels because of how well it spools.
