Flip it and do a flip up license plate and roll pan like you would for sled pulling. That way the hitch is there if your ever need it and you won't have to install a hitch if you decide to tow

Best part about the hitch, even if you don't tow, is that it greatly minimizes damage if you're ever rear ended or back into something. If you're not concerned about that (insurance!) then it's just extra weight.

IM going to be running the PMF Fuel cell so putting a hidden hitch won't work because the fill for the cell will be behind the plate.

Yes it can. If you look at the AutoTruck Service build, he has the cell with factory hitch.
