LBZ bottom ends are supposed to be "good to 600" though, right?

We are going to try and kiss 800 with it, but we will stop when we no longer feel safe in the tuning - that is over 700 for sure.

Wooowww. 60% nozzles and a 72 over 83 compound setup. I give it less than 10 full throttle runs.

Nah - we are going to hold it back and make something awesome. Although we will be flirting with the eminent demise of the bottom end. Everyone told me that I would blow it up with compounds - that was 5 years and 80K miles ago.

Its basically just a shade bigger setup than this stock bottom ended truck:

Just a question, but with all the work done to the suspension, was there any reason in particular to not go with a full air ride suspension?

I'm not a fan of full air ride on a rig like this that will actually get used and abuse in terrain. This is not an asphalt queen.

I'm already jotting down ideas for a future truck that will be more of an asphalt queen and replace this one as the tow beast - but that is quite a few years away before that comes to fruition, but it will have at least an air ride rear.

Yeah..... I painted all the junk behind the grill flat black and built a new workbench for the shop - the bench will eventually be a transmission building table.... but for now its the perfect height to stand on and work under the hood! LOL

I feel the love. LOL

Mocked up the bumper, grill and headlights for the first time at the end of the day - pretty sure I'm going to be real happy with this with just a few more tweaks :D

I like how u made that sway bar set up... is that home made or a kit? Looks like the project is finally coming along.! It looks mean as hell

That is a modified kit - I wasn't sure how it was all going to work out - but if I had to start over I would have built the sway bar setup using some race car parts so it was tunable. My front sway bar is made up of race car parts - I just don't have it installed yet. I bought a "kit" for the front that was intended to work with this SAS - but some of the other options I have interfered with things - so I I opted to piece something together for the front - basically its a shaft with splines on each end and then a pair of flat bars with splines - I can adjust the length of the flat bars as well as the construction of the splined bar to change how it reacts.

They are a Firestone bag - same ones used in the Cognito long travel bag kits and very similar to the ones found on the front end of some freight shakers.

Would it be hard to find the part number? Looking for a set of bags for my truck but don't want to limit travel. Thanks

The goal is to fire it for the first time on Thursday - just some minor electrical to finish - some down pipe modifications - and to toss the fuel lines into a fuel can on the floor - and it should be ready to fire. Driving will just be a few days behind that.
