Oh ok. Thanks. Does anyone know what the max pressure (either boost or back/drive pressure) that a studded 6.0 can take without the headgaskets going out?

No, elite used to make an SS, SSX, and HO

Weston- get some gauges on that thing or datalog it, i want to see whats going on with your bp etc.

See I thought you meant elites ss also. I looked on there website and see they are still listed. So what turbo are you speaking of?

So how does Elite's HO turbo compare to RCD's 68mm turbo (specs wise)? I like how it has an inconel turbine wheel. Not sure if it matters or not but seems cool to me.

The SS was close to a p max but flowed a considerable amount more. That's what I put down my 600 with.

The ssx is larger, as so forth.

Moroni ran the HO For a while before he built his first set of twins.

Let's just say 205s and an SS (which I believe was a 64) was a blast, fast spool, just a tiny haze (remember how much fuel 205/100s put out) I could burn 37s off the line till about 30 and it would hook. That's the best setup I have ran to date.

The specs on the regular Powermax are: Compressor Wheel Specs: Inducer 63.5mm/Exducer 88mm
Turbine Wheel Inducer 72.5mm/Exducer 66.5mm
Turbine Housing A/R 0.90

The specs on the SSX are: Compressor Wheel Specs: Inducer 64.7mm/Exducer 94mm
Turbine Wheel Inducer 72.5/Exducer 70mm
Turbine Housing A/R 0.90

The specs on the HO are: Compressor Wheel Specs: Inducer 67.8mm/Exducer 94mm
Turbine Wheel Inducer 72.5/Exducer 70mm
Turbine Housing A/R 0.90

These were pulled from Elite's website.

I have an ssx and some 190/100s in my shop waiting to go in my truck but I just gotta find time to install them. Lol I'll let y'all know how it turnes out. A few years ago I ran a SS with stock sticks and I loved it till it took a dump on me.

at this point, I'm sending my pmax up to RCD next week to get punched up to the 68. Since it's purely a street truck with no plans for twins at this point, might as well give this big vgt a shot. I hope to get live tuned by gearhead and on the rollers at ennis. Jared thinks I'll be upper 500's which should be a nice kick in the pants from where I'm at if that happens. Injectors will get punched out to 205's sometime in the next year along with the built trans then it should be a solid streetable 600+. we'll see how it goes!
