Time to choose....68 vgt or 64 batmo

my main concern is backpressure. if it gets too high, I'm going to try to gate it. I've talked to Matt @ gearhead and he thinks we can get the tuning figured out. if he can get the vane duty cycle/ebp synced up with the gate, I guess theoretically that could lead to investigating compounding a vgt in the future???

Yeah I hear you there, I think it will be possible to gate it if you use an non-inferred BP strategy as a base? leave it to Matt im sure he can take care of it.

Update...my 68 is on its way back from RCD. Should have it back on and running by the end of the week and hopefully on the dyno at Ennis.

interested to know how it works out for ya. I really like my 64mm non vgt, but i've been tossing around the idea of trying a larger vgt...haha probably sounds stupid to most.

Are you still using the 190/75's or have you gone bigger with the injectors?

Thats the injectors I'll be running with the same turbo + a batmowheel ( when RCD actually gets the wheels in their hands.lol)

sweet....let me know how that setup works out cause i also have 190/75's and have been thinking/tossing around the idea of trying a larger vgt with them.

Yeah its been a long 2 months for me waiting for mine lol.
but after talking with jared friday he is trying to get them to hurry and finish the wheels.

It drives with that stock charger. But the powers ALL gone!

Will everyone get off the batmo bandwagon already. What have they proven?? Or is this just another bullseye sales pitch?

I've talked to multiple VERY reputable turbo shops and they have dyno results showing no improvement with the bat. Even a loss at some points.

2 manufacturers actually told me they would rather not take my money for a billet wheel and instead sell me a cast so that I would come back when I was ready for my 400 series.

If you want me to chime in with more info I can.

Save your money stay cast on the 300 series charger.


As for you guys going from a Vgt to a non, take it from first hand experience, it does not spool like stock. Take 1300-1500 on a stock charger, and relate that to 1800-1900 and that's just boost not even fully lit.

let me quess industrial injection and E.D told you this?
