Well I have an update!! I couldn't find my adapter to plug my minimaxx micro SD to my computer. So I figured a good test would be to reset my minimaxx back to H&S factory tunes. After I did that I drove a few miles up town... And it worked!... Kind of. It shifted threw every gear, with only a couple hiccups. Figured this was normal because the trans was relearning from the new trans tune. But on the way home it did the same thing as before, terrible flares during shifts and lost 5th gear, little wrench icon came on the dash, and no manual mode. But the fact that it worked at the beginning gave me a little hope it may be the program. If I have time tomorrow I'll try a software update and updating firmware.

dont want to burst your bubble but its not the tuning, you have mechanical issues this is exactly the issue i had word for word

Well don't worry there's not much of a bubble to burst lol. This trans has had a pretty hard life. So I wouldn't be surprised if it was toast. If updating the tunes works, that's great. If not, then I guess I'll be shopping around for a trans. I'm thinking either elites or Morgan's from Midwest. Any other options I should consider?

Well just a little update. Finally had time to format my SD card and update it. No luck. Minimaxx says gear 5 incorrect ratio? Looks like it may be time for surgery.

Lmao mine likes to wave at me also every now and then with the wipers. Just does one swoop on startup and it is totally random when it does it. I guess it's a sign we got special trucks

That's funny. Two weeks ago I was in Corpus Christi for a business transaction and had breakfest at an IHOP. First time in 20+ years.......Thanks for the heads up, didn't think to ask for a discount......

I know this thread is pretty dead. But just thought I'd follow up with the new trans! I've got about 1,700 miles on it now and am very happy with it. Morgan and Austin were very helpful and good to deal with. Here's a clip of a 0-100 run I did. Built a little boost for take off. Also I'll be hooking to the sled Wednesday at the local fair. I'll make sure to get a vid from inside and outside the cab.

No I haven't been able to find one around since the I got the trans in. I'm hoping for 600 but I'm not sure it feels like it. That or I'm just used to it lol. Also thinking about changing the gears. Its got 35" tires and 3.31s with a S371 turbo. Thinking 3.55s or 3.73s would make it a little more fun. But the high stall TC from Morgan does help.

I think I would be a lot happier with 3.73s. As long as it would give me some more "snap" when I hit the throttle, without messing with my turbo setup. Because I think my highest tune is around 1900 pulse and in 5th my rail pressure drops a little but not a lot. So I'd say my fuel system is doing ok. Also I'd like to go to dual fuelers. But I think that would help my top end more than the bottom... Which I'm fine with.. Always need more lol.

I've owned 6.7's with 3.31's-3.73's. It still floors me why they didn't make 3.73's available in a srw. Possibly the best gear ever, unless you want to go 90-100 everywhere.
