Trans Question... MARK???

Sucks to hear, I hate the feeling when you do a mess up on the truck causing a failure of some kind. Hope it's not too bad.

glad to hear it.....if the overdrive section had any lube at all in it, and you weren't under a heavy load, maybe it'll survive ? at least for a while ?

We will see. I am going to change the fluid this weekend and go from there.

The overdrive section is in the front of the trans, not the rear.

Changed the fluid this weekend. No issues there. Temps are back down, a bit warmer then they used to be, but no more then 150* at any time internal temp.

It was nasty, but it was nasty before this came up. I had planned on servicing it right after the motor went back in.

It was more brown then red... LOL

....I'm thnkin' that bypass is a VERY good idea tho.....

Bypass will be going back in as soon as funds allow. I wish I knew what builder did that...

yep good idea....I'm going to add the 3/8 lines to my OBS this spring, and the bypass also....
