Big pieces are not an issue. Little pieces are, they can get into the solenoids and cause big problems.

I can attest to what Mark is saying. I've been through that very issure before is how I know. Had a transmission go, had it rebuilt and flushed. I went through about 3 rebuilds before it finally hit us what was going on. New trans, new converter, new cooler and never a problem after that.

I believe that is what John Wood told my trans guy when I had my trans built a few years ago.
